Hello future learners! My name is Tammy Parson, and I am seeking students who want to have fun learning again! I'm here to tell you that every student can learn. Working with students who don't believe in themselves is my specialty. It's my job to figure out the learning style that works best for each individual and make learning fun again! Many students don't realize their potential, and they allow self doubt to become the biggest obstacle to their academic success. If my students aren't learning, then I'll change the way I'm teaching to match their learning style. I truly believe that I have to be a reflective teacher and continually assess my students' progress because if the student has not learned, the teacher has not taught. My journey towards teaching students began when I was hired as a teacher's assistant with James Irwin Charter Elementary Schhol in 2005; I then accepted increased administrative duties with each successive year as I was promoted to teacher, lead teacher, teacher trainer, and Dean of Students. Throughout my career, I have taught first grade, second grade, and third grade. However, as a teacher trainer, I've also been given the opportunity to develop experience in Kindergarten, 4th grade, and 5th grade. Positively educating students of varying academic and behavioral backgrounds has been my mission for the last fifteen years, and it likely always will be. I look forward to working with you to highlight your child's strengths and capabilities as well as helping your child feel proud of all they've accomplished when we've finished!
